The high-pitched shrieking noise in this forest is not the work of birds, frogs, or some sort of man-made object. According to other people who know more about the local fauna than I do this noise is the work of geckos who live in the trees. Although I did not actually see any of these, they're quite loud, so if not geckos SOMETHING is definitly in those trees. This is one ofmany videos that I made while I was exploring out on foot from the Klong Prao Resort Hotel where I was staying on November 1, 2008 while on the island of Koh Chang in Southeastern Thailand near the Cambodian border. This series focuses on the scenery and people of Koh Chang in an attempt to make it as interesting as possible to the viewer.
